Continue to Declutter

Let’s continue on the decluttering the brain theme. We've noticed what happens when we keep collecting stuff, gold as well as garbage and let it pile up in our garage (brain), we also talked about closing the garage door so that we stop collecting other people's clutter.

Now, let’s get clear that what we are thinking, being, doing as our own beliefs and not leftover clutter from the past events and interpretations or from other people telling us how to be. how to know that how we are parenting, performing, and choosing what to do next is based in our own highest good.

Are your frustrations showing up a lot or do you get really happy and excited because you are living fully in your own life? How to determine that it is your own gold?

We constantly get to measure by the level and type of feeling of energy around a belief. If there is any type of anxiousness around it or any feeling of anticipating someone else being upset, then that shows that it's not your own belief. Here's how to get clear on what is gold that you have in there:

1 --First action: Check and see if there are things you feel are left undone. College, career, hobbies. Anything you've always wanted to do but haven't yet. Write down anything that comes up. I was sent this saying yesterday:

the Chinese say, "The best time to plant a tree was always 20 years ago. The second best time is always today."

Now, look at what you feel you haven't done yet and notice if it is really what you want or if it was an unfinished dream or idea of someone else. Make sure the things on your list are truly yours. What are your thoughts around not having done this yet? Do you get upset with yourself? Do you blame someone else or some circumstances?

Next to any of these undone moments, next to any upsets with anyone else or events, write down how you can take responsibility for it still being undone. Be willing to erase or mark out the blame you place on it, whether it is against you or someone or something else. Mark it out and figure out how you can do it now if you really want to do it! start thinking of new ways to do this thing! interview people you know and trust to give you ideas! Go for it!! or something like it!

2 ---- Now, make a list of anything that you do that you don't really like to do but are doing because it's someone else's idea. Why do you do this?  Is there any anxiousness around it? Any fear of upsetting someone else? If so, you may want to reconsider why and how you are keeping this kind of brain clutter.  Can you let it go?

Or, if you have been resistant to doing something just to be stubborn could there be something gold you could gain from joining in?

3 -----Our third action this week is to pick 5 things to do for the next couple of weeks that you enjoy and fully embrace as your own. It can be new items or it can be something you have been doing but you are going to do it now with an awareness of ownership and that you are giving yourself gold.  If any upset or anxiousness come up around it, you get to look at it and figure out how this clutter got into your life, how this reaction causes you to resist feeling peace-full.

If you are excited about it and love it, then make sure you are totally present to the experience. Stop and look at all that is going on around you while you are doing this. See the surroundings, smell the smells. If it is outside, look at the clouds, trees, other people. Stop and take it in. Take pause.

This is decluttering. Focusing on the very moment that you are in an experience. We are so overwhelmed with the clutter of our thoughts and our going to so many places doing so many things, sometimes we forget to stop and smell the roses. And if the garage, if your mind, is full of clutter you may only be smelling the stench or seeing a lot to do and feeling overwhelmed.

Even when you are cleaning out the clutter, stop and look around. mark the moment, especially so that as you get less cluttered, you can remember this moment and compliment yourself for working so hard. and getting so much accomplished. Honor your truth. Know what is yours and let go of what is someone else's, Identify and own the moments of your life and breathe deeply. In difficulty and in joy, stop and notice everything going on around you...be with it. Own it. Own your life! Feel the balance in this moment, this time in your life and all the opportunities you have by being aware and making choices that are fully yours!
