Health scares and the economy reacting to health scares, and more
economy and it goes on. We've talked each week about how to be with

Being a stay at home mom sounds like a wonderful career choice. No more rushing out of the house just to sit in morning traffic. Wearing whatever you want. An end to all the meetings and reports, more time with the kids and think of all the projects around the house that you can get done. But that is just fantasy. The reality of a stay at home mom is more daunting. There is no vacation time, no sick days, and you are not in charge of your own schedule, the kids rule that area. And no matter how much you do in a day, there is always more. More laundry, more dirty dishes, more vacuuming, more toys on the floor, and more food to prepare.

So far, I would say Obama has embraced the Change moniker. During the current budget debate he asked the GOP to come to him and show him where they would cut spending. What? Normally this type of disagreement is fought with dueling press conferences. One party touts their program, and then other has a press conference saying the program stinks and they have a better one. Then more pressers back and forth, but the two sides don’t actually talk and find a solution. Now I don’t know if Obama will consider any of the Republican suggestions, but just the fact that he asked for them is a change.
Think about the moments of discomfort and awkwardness we all experience in life and inevitably during the climax of these moments some wiseguy (or gal) says “Ah, someday we’ll all look back on this and laugh!”
This is a call for you to take a minute and conjure up the image of one of those moments. One of your very own personal experiences. Have you looked back on it and laughed? The other day one such occurance popped into my head and I realized that I rarely purposely go back and think about those awkward moments in which I just desperately wished it was all over.
If I sit and ponder for a second I can come up with at least two moments where that “encouraging” phrase was muttered and I shall tell you about both.
Moment One:
